WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS POLICY?

We aim for your complete satisfaction with your purchase. If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or differs from the description, we are happy to provide a refund or compensation.

Please ensure that you check your item/s thoroughly on delivery and notify us of any issues within 24 hours. We will then liaise with you directly to arrange the return and refund of the item.

You may be required to send photos of any damage/discrepancies. If in the unlikely event that your item is damaged during transit please contact us and we will work with you to help rectify the issue, or assist with processing a claim with the courier company.

ARE THE FURNITURE PIECES RESTORED?

We strive to preserve as much of the original character as possible, so we prefer to keep restoration to a minimum. The charm of vintage and retro pieces often lies in their small imperfections. However, if a piece has significant damage, we ensure it is expertly restored. Nothing leaves our warehouse unless we are completely satisfied with its quality and condition.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY TEAK FURNITURE?

Teak furniture is durable and low-maintenance, but a little care goes a long way in keeping it looking its best. Here’s how to care for it:
– Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust and spills. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals.
– Teak is naturally resistant to moisture, but spills can stain. Wipe up spills quickly, especially from food and drinks.
– Teak naturally develops a silver-grey patina over time. If you prefer the golden-brown look, apply teak oil every few months. Otherwise, let it age naturally.
– If your teak furniture is outdoors, clean it periodically and consider a furniture cover to protect it from extreme weather.
– Use coasters, placemats, and felt pads under heavy objects to prevent scratches.

CAN I COME AND VIEW / SELECT FURNITURE BEFORE I BUY?

The Mid Century Design Co. does not have a shop or showroom facilities - most of our furniture is kept in storage and for this reason we cannot arrange viewings to the general public. However, we do try and take very detailed photographs of our items and provide honest/informative descriptions of each piece. If you would like to know more about a specific piece, or require further measurements, please contact us (with the full name/a website link to the item) and we will be happy to provide this information.

Trade/Commercial Customers
For trade customers (who are buying multiple items) we can arrange viewings during the week (10am-4pm) by appointment only - please contact us in advance to arrange this. Please note that we will need a minimum of 2-3 days notice to get items out of storage.

ARE YOU ABLE TO STORE ITEMS AFTER I HAVE PURCHASED THEM?

We are happy to keep your item/s in storage for up to 21 days after the purchase date. If you require your item/s to be stored for longer then please contact us prior to purchase and we will see if we can arrange this. Unfortunately, any furniture left with us for longer than 21 days (without prior arrangement) may incur weekly storage fees as we have limited storage.
